The Lifecycle Acquisition Services Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic and operational and organization of the department. This role is key in shaping the vision, strategy, and performance of the Lifecycle Acquisition Services team. This leadership position involves driving organizational goals, fostering innovation, and ensuring efficient and effective operation of the department.

The Lifecycle Acquisition Services Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic and operational and organization of the department. This role is key in shaping the vision, strategy, and performance of the Lifecycle Acquisition Services team. This leadership position involves driving organizational goals, fostering innovation, and ensuring efficient and effective operation of the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruiting: Develop and execute staffing strategies to recruit and hire highly qualified technical professionals. Evaluates candidate qualifications, conducts interviews, and makes hiring recommendations in collaboration with Human Resources and senior leadership. Ensure staffing decisions align with current and future program needs while maintaining compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
- Business Development: Supports business development efforts through customer and prospective customer engagement, site visits, and follow-up on potential leads in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Mission: Lifecycle Acquisition Support delivers technical data sustainment services that ensure technical publications remain accurate, compliant, and mission-ready throughout the system life cycle.
- Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives while providing visionary leadership in alignment with the company's values and long-term goals.
- Operational Oversight: Oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with established policies and procedures. Collaborates with department heads and the prime contractor to optimize processes and improve organizational performance.
- Financial Management: Works closely with the PMO and finance team to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reporting. Identifies opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Leads and mentors a high-performing team of Technical Writers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Recruits, develops, and retains top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Risk Management: Identifies and assesses potential risks to the organization, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Performance Metrics: Establishes and monitors key performance indicators to measure success of strategic initiatives. Regularly reports on organizational performance to the executive team of leadership.
- Project Management: Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of projects, including managing scope, schedule, and budget to meet project objectives within established constraints.
- Quality Assurance: Implements and oversees quality control processes to ensure that work performed by direct reports meets the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
- Training and Development: Supports the professional growth of team members through training initiatives, skill development, and ongoing feedback to enhance their technical writing capabilities.

- 20+ years negotiating contract requirements in tech data environment

- U.S. Citizenship, Secret Clearance is a plus but not required
