Pentecom is seeking a System Administrator to join our team!

Please note the System Administrator role is a full-time, on-site position located in Palestine, Texas.

The system administrator will maintain on-premises network and server infrastructure and administer the Microsoft 365 cloud environment including Microsoft Entra ID and Intune. The system administrator monitors security and compliance reports and develops and implements remediation plans. Additionally, the system administrator also assists the help desk team in resolving end user tickets.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain office information system infrastructure
• Ensure security and compliance measures are implemented across all IT systems
• Provide advanced technical support to end users in person and remote
• Mentor junior technicians
• Document processes and solutions
• Adhere to Pentecom security policies and procedures

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic complex technical issues
• Experience with Windows domain environments and Microsoft 365 cloud environment
• Experience with network architecture
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 publications

• Passion for problem-solving and customer service
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn new skills quickly

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
• Proven experience as an IT systems administrator or similar role
