The IT technician will provide helpdesk support for end users including problem resolution, perform software updates, manage user accounts in Windows Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments. The IT Technician is responsible for deployment, maintenance, and retirement of equipment. Additionally, the technician will assist the system admin team in maintaining servers and networking equipment.
Please note the IT technician position is a full-time, office position in Palestine, Texas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance over email or chat
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by end users
- Walk the end user through the problem-solving process
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft software products, networking, cybersecurity, and remote control
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Possible consideration for at least 3 years of professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
